Karnevaalit / Carneval

Jotta elämässä olisi sitá suolaakin niin me pyrähdimme parina viikonloppuna jakamassa ehkäisyvälineitä paikallisten vapaaehtoisten kanssa Encarnacionin kuuluisilla karnevaaleilla. Karnevaalit oli siis kuukauden ajan joka ikinen viikonloppu tuolla joen rannassa tapahtua kansalaisten huvitus, jossa paikalliset samba/tanssikoulut esittelevät taitojaan ja kisaavat parhaimman koulun tittelistä. Eka kierroksella oltiin oikeesti töissä ja katseltiin hiukan esityksiä ja toinen kerta menikin jo enemmän karnevaalin humussa mukana fiilistelessä.

Kuten suomessakin niin myös täällä tehdään terveydenedistämisen eteen töitä ja paikalla oli laskemamme mukaan ainakin kolme eri tahoa jakamassa kortsuja. No oli niitä ihmisiäkin kyllä ihan vaikka kuinka paljon.
Ehkä kuvat kertovat enemmän, joten niitä siis...

So that we would be at least a little better people - we went to the carnival to work in two weekends to give out condoms with the local volunteers.
Carnevals are here for one month period and we worked the first time we went there and the second time we had an opportunity to just enjoy the carnival athmosphere. The local samba/dance schools are presenting their skills and beauty in this event and at the same ther compete of the titles like the Best dancing school 2013.....

And like in Finland we have these health promoting campaigns - so we did some here as well. We went to the carnivals with some local vollunteers to give out condoms. This seemed to be an issue that few other organizations have realizid as well - I counted there were 3 different groups handing out contraseptives... But to the main issue - the samba schools and dancers.
